Our light quotient - Part 1

We all come from the light, and as we enter this dimension, we enter into complete darkness. When I talk about the Light, I am referring to Source, or what most people would refer to as God, Creator, Universe, Mother, or the Divine.

The goal of our existence is to get back to the light, and we do that by increasing our light quotient.

What is Light Quotient?

The light quotient is the amount of energy that the body can absorb. It is similar to a light bulb that holds a specific amount of watts, and if you put a lower watts light into a higher watts connection, it will burst. Thus, to receive more light, we must expand (be rebuilt) into a higher voltage.

How do we identify our current light quotient?

The first way we can identify the amount of light quotient (our vibrational frequency) is through our emotions. Our emotions serve as a map to identify what we are feeling and where we are in our energy level.

Dr. David R. Hawkins, a renowned spiritual teacher, psychiatrist, physician, researcher, and lecturer, developed what is called the map of consciousness. He conducted more than 250,000 calibrations during 20 years of research to define a range of values, attitudes, and emotions that correspond to levels of consciousness, also known as the energy scale. How does a person get to vibrate at such a lower frequency?

Life experiences and challenges can impact our light/vibration/frequency. Remember, we are energy, which can neither be created nor destroyed. We have sort of an internal light dimmer that increases and decreases based on the impact of certain experiences and how we respond to them. For example, when we react to certain life challenges, our frequency lowers and we have what is called a loss of power. We then begin to use force (push our way through things, aka forcing an outcome).

How do we increase our light quotient?

There are several ways to increase our light quotient (increase our vibration) – from prayer to Reiki sessions, and being proactive. Here are a few ways:

  1. When “life happens” – Pause and ask: for what reason is this happening in my life at this very moment? Take a deep breath and acknowledge that when things happen, as painful as it may be, it is for us (our expansion) rather than “to” us. We can be filled with the light and open pathways for clarity and evolution. Keep in mind that you might have to do this several times.
  2. Surrender – When we let go, we loosen the grip that pain has on us. Remember, whatever we resist, persists.
  3. Pray – Ask the Divine, Source, Creator, God, Universe—whichever source of higher power you are connected to—to fill you with light. Ask for wisdom and discernment on what you need to see within yourself that needs shifting and the strength to make changes.
  4. Meditation – Quiets the mind and, with practice, puts you in a state of surrender. It enables you to have clarity and see things that might have been hiding in your blind spots.
  5. Reiki Session/Energy Work – Booking a Reiki session or energy work can find areas of your body where you might be storing trauma, which can impact your body’s level of light quotient. It helps release those stored emotions that might impact your vibrational level.
  6. Laughing – Laughter can increase your light quotient immediately. When we hear a joke or watch something funny, we can feel the vibrational levels in our bodies increase immediately.
  7. Being proactive – This is not a one-time thing and one size fits all. As you begin to create a structure, work on intentionally creating practices to increase your light quotient. Keep in mind: progress over perfection.

Can we vibrate at a higher level and suddenly our light quotient drops?

Yes! Things will still impact us. Always remember to pause when it happens. And go back to number one: Why is this in my movie?

Here is something to keep in mind: As we continue to learn and experience life, there will be things that no longer impact us. It is like wearing a new pair of shoes after your feet have outgrown the old ones. However, there will be other challenges that we will face as we continue to expand. You’ve heard the saying, “New Levels, New Devils.”

The important thing is that you now have the understanding and tools to deal with life lessons.
