They say joy comes in the morning. Does it really come or do you create it?

If you wait for joy to come,
How long do you think that would take?
Until your circumstances change?
Until the world changes?
Joy cometh when you decide to create it, despite your circumstances.
It doesn’t mean that you have to deny what you feel,
Or turn a blind eye to what’s happening,
To create joy is to exercise your power.
The power to showcase that you are responsible for your own happiness.

HOW DO YOU TAKE BACK YOUR POWER?

  1. Build self-awareness – recognize your emotional state without judgment. When you are aware of your emotions, you can figure out ways to regulate them.
  2. Write it down – Journaling what you feel transfers your thoughts from your mind to paper, which helps you view them from a different perspective and lowers their grip on you.
  3. Be intentional – decide to do something you love. It will shift the energy.
